Lea Ceramiche 3.5 mm thick tiles are part of the ultra-thin laminated porcelain stoneware range. Their reduced weight and large dimensions make it possible to cover walls and extensive surfaces with fewer tiles, reducing the number of grout lines while keeping the overall thickness to a minimum.
The reduced thickness is particularly useful for large wall coverings, where a durable, visually refined solution with broad design possibilities is required. In addition to being lighter, the thin thickness makes it possible to clad curved surfaces, while fibreglass reinforcement provides greater impact resistance. The workability of the slabs makes cutting and shaping easier, always in accordance with the product’s technical specifications.
In renovation projects, thin slabs can offer an advantage when they can be installed over suitable existing surfaces. Avoiding demolition can reduce time, waste materials and disruption, although feasibility must always be assessed according to the substrate and the chosen installation system.
3.5 mm tiles are closely linked to Slimtech technology, developed by Lea Ceramiche for large, thin, lightweight and durable slabs. Colours, effects and formats can therefore be used across extensive surfaces while maintaining a minimal thickness, with applications ranging from interior wall coverings to more advanced architectural solutions.
